Meet Jacqui

Jacqueline Facey Accredited Practising Dietitian

B. Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) QUT, APD Accreditation

Jacqui is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about helping people improve their health through practical, evidence-based nutrition. Her approach focuses on building a positive and sustainable relationship with food, no fad diets, no extremes, just realistic strategies that fit into real life.

Jacqui understands that eating is not just about nutrients.  It’s also about routine, emotions, culture, sensory preferences and life circumstances. She works alongside her clients to create personalised plans that feel achievable and supportive, whether the goal is improving energy, managing a medical condition, supporting gut health, or working toward weight and metabolic health outcomes.

Jacqui is a highly experienced dietitian delivering evidence-based nutrition therapy across the full scope of dietetic practice, from complex medical nutrition therapy to everyday health concerns.

She has a special interest in supporting neurodivergent children, teens and adults, including those with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and individuals who describe themselves as “fussy,” “selective,” or struggling with food textures.

With extensive experience in gastrointestinal nutrition therapy, Jacqui provides structured, evidence-based support for food intolerances, IBS, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and other complex digestive concerns.

She recognises that for many people, eating challenges are not about willpower,  they are about sensory comfort, predictability, anxiety around food, and past experiences. Jacqui provides a calm, respectful and non-judgemental space where clients can explore food at their own pace.

Jacqui supports children, teenagers, and adults with:

  • Neurodivergent nutrition support (including ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences)

  • Gastrointestinal symptoms such as IBS, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, and abdominal pain

  • Evidence-based assessment and management of food intolerances

  • Selective eating, strong food preferences, or texture-based eating patterns

  • Food aversions, gagging, and sensory-related eating challenges

  • Limited variety or anxiety around mealtimes

  • Structured, predictable meal planning to reduce stress and overwhelm

  • Busy lifestyles, time pressures, and family commitments

  • Building nutritionally adequate diets starting with safe and accepted foods

  • Gradually expanding variety in a pressure-free, respectful way

The focus is always on nourishment without overwhelm,  building confidence and nutritional adequacy in a way that respects the individual.

Jacqui also has a strong interest in women’s health, supporting clients through life stages such as perimenopause and menopause, as well as conditions including endometriosis, hormonal changes, and related digestive or metabolic concerns. She understands that these transitions can affect energy levels, weight distribution, sleep, mood, and overall wellbeing. With both professional expertise and personal insight into the challenges many women face during these stages, Jacqui provides compassionate, practical nutrition guidance that helps women feel more in control of their bodies and confident in their health journey.
